Personal BackgroundHaving lost 4½ stones herself to become a personal trainer, Gaynor knows only too well the impact that excess body fat can have on a person's emotional, as well as physical, health. Initially, she was unable to go into a gym for fear of what others might think. Personal training changed all that. It worked for her, and it can work for you. Gaynor has a strong interest in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and undertakes additional training every year to meet the requirements of the Register of Exercise Professionals. She has worked as an exercise professional throughout Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, and Wiltshire since 2002, in addition to conducting a private practice since 1996 (first in London, then in Witney) in sports therapy, and later also in myotherapy. Since 2004, she has held a contract to provide weekly exercise and rehabilitation treatments for the residents of two private nursing homes in Swindon, Wiltshire. Gaynor exercises six days a week. She particularly enjoys running, despite osteoarthritis in her knee. Before and After Photographs The photographs below were taken 10 years apart. In 1996, Gaynor was a marketing manager for a multinational company. The picture says it all. After realising that her sedentary corporate lifestyle would probably kill her, Gaynor changed her attitude, her diet, her lack of exercise, and even her career.
